Presented by David Gallaher
12:00 - 12:45 PM in Room B. All Ages.
Comics and sequential art are an ancient and valuable art that extends around the globe. From stories of Calvin & Hobbes to Superman to Sailor Moon to Boondocks, the visual language of comics helps children develop a love of reading while broadening their visual vocabulary and storytelling skills. In this workshop, award-winning comics author David Gallaher will discuss the history, production, and theory of comic storytelling, while empowering students to deconstruct and create their own comics from plot to the printed page. You don’t need to be a great artist to be a great cartoonist. Please bring your imagination, paper, and something to write with.
